Amy Walstien
Amy Walstien has spent her career at the intersection of law and politics as an attorney, government relations professional, policy advisor, and legislative staffer. Experienced in a wide range of legal and government matters, Amy is well-known for her subject-matter expertise and for being a strategic connector and communicator.
Amy currently serves as the Senior Policy Director at the Minnesota Business Partnership. Previously Amy launched Walstien Law & Consulting, a legal and government relations practice, in 2015, specializing in advising clients on matters including: legislative advocacy; business and fiscal issues; education and workforce development policy; project management; campaign finance and election law; political action committee formation and management; nonprofit development and grant-writing.
Amy has served as the Director of Education & Workforce Development Policy and Elections for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, where she lobbied on business and education issues at the State Capitol and oversaw the Chamber’s multi-million-dollar political program for two election cycles. Amy also served as the Director of Government Relations for the Minnesota Department of Education and as the Committee Administrator for the Senate Finance Committee, where she was responsible for advising on state budget negotiations.
